Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary School

Canvey Island | Full-time or Part-time

We are working with a friendly and supportive primary school in Canvey Island who are looking to appoint an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team.

This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis and would suit an HLTA who is confident supporting learning across the primary age range and stepping into the classroom when required.

Responsibilities

• Delivering pre-planned lessons in the teacher’s absence
• Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Working with small groups and individual pupils to support progress
• Supporting classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Working closely with teachers and the wider school team

What we are looking for

• Holds HLTA status or equivalent experience
• Has recent experience working in a primary school setting
• Is confident covering classes when required
• Is adaptable, reliable and proactive
• Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service or is willing to apply
