About the Role
As a SEND Tutor, you will work closely with teachers and students across various schools in Witham, providing support both academically and through sports-based activities. Your role will be to encourage student engagement, promote physical well-being, and help create a positive learning environment. The school are currently looking for someone who can do 8:30am - 4pm with an hour lunch break.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored one-on-one and group support to students with SEN to promote their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and learning strategies.
- Develop and deliver engaging activities that support students’ personal and educational growth.
- Monitor and record students’ progress, behavior, and development, providing regular feedback to staff and parents.
- Foster positive relationships with students to build their self-esteem, resilience, and independence.
- Support students in developing life skills, social skills, and emotional regulation techniques.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for students.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.

- Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred).
