TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established private nursery in Bury. The setting provides a warm, homely and engaging environment where children are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and curiosity from an early age.

The nursery takes a child-centred approach to Early Years education, with practitioners getting to know children individually and using their interests to create meaningful learning experiences. There is a strong focus on children's emotional wellbeing alongside their physical, social and educational development.

Children are encouraged to learn through play and exploration, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy creative activities, sensory experiences and outdoor learning as part of their day.

TeacherActive is looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to work up to 35 hours per week within the setting.

The successful practitioner will work alongside an experienced Early Years team to provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment. You will support children's daily routines, learning and play while encouraging their independence, communication skills and overall development.

The successful Early Years Practitioner will have:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or equivalent
  • Previous experience working within a nursery, childcare or Early Years setting
  • A good understanding of the EYFS and children's developmental needs
  • A nurturing, enthusiastic and proactive approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and emotional well-being
  • Confidence in providing engaging, age-appropriate learning and play opportunities
  • The ability to communicate effectively and work well as part of an established nursery team
