Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am–3:15pm
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
The Role
As a SEND Support Worker / Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to help pupils access learning and make progress academically, socially and emotionally.
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Helping pupils engage with lessons and classroom activities
- Supporting children and young people with severe learning difficulties and complex needs
- Encouraging communication, independence and confidence
- Supporting pupils with their emotional regulation and behaviour
- Assisting with personal care where required
- Helping pupils during transitions, break times and lunchtimes
- Following individual support plans and guidance from teaching staff
- Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
