TeacherActive is currently recruiting an HLTA to work within one of the largest secondary schools in Pembrokeshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and adaptable individual looking to take the next step in their educational career while working in supportive and inclusive school environments.
The Role
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Support teaching and learning across a range of year groups
- Lead small group interventions and provide targeted pupil support
- Work closely with teachers to monitor progress and raise attainment
- Support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) where required
- Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and promote pupil wellbeing
Requirements
- HLTA status or an equivalent qualification
- Previous experience working within a primary school setting
- Confidence leading whole-class learning and covering lessons
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
- Passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
