TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming Special Needs College that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school follows a learning through play ethos and provides a nurturing environment with excellent outdoor facilities and sensory rooms designed to support the individual needs of every pupil.
The school is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant on a full‑time, long‑term temporary basis from September. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will support further education pupils with ASD and complex needs, working closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging activities, promote independence, and provide tailored support throughout the school day.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience supporting children with ASD and complex needs
- Experience working within a Special Educational Needs or additional learning needs setting
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
- The ability to support learning through play activities
- Flexibility and a positive can‑do attitude
