What the Role Involves

  • Supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher, following work set by the school.
  • Maintaining a calm, focused classroom environment in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Clearly explaining and facilitating set tasks across a range of subjects and year groups.
  • Supporting students with their work and escalating concerns to senior staff where necessary.
  • Taking registers and providing written feedback to the class teacher after each session.
  • Upholding the school’s values and contributing to a positive, safe learning environment.

What We Need From You

  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or similar role.
  • Confidence managing a classroom independently, including handling low‑level disruption calmly and professionally.
