Position Summary: Youth Worker (Behaviour Mentor) – Secondary School – Newham – ASAP Start – £115–120 per day (depending on experience).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one‑to‑one, in‑class and outside‑class behavioural and pastoral support to students.
  • Work closely with students exhibiting challenging behaviour, creating tailored support plans.
  • Build rapport and maintain positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with the Behaviour Support Team to share best practice and resources.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a clear understanding of effective intervention techniques.
  • Team Teach or physical intervention training is desirable.
  • Empathetic approach with the ability to build excellent rapport with students.
