Special Educational Needs Teacher required for a Special Needs School in Newham on a permanent contract as soon as possible.
Must be a fully qualified Special Educational Needs Teacher (QTS/QTLS).
We are looking for an experienced Special Educational Needs Teacher who has the ability to plan and deliver a range of differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of each child. This lovely natured SEN School caters for students aged 11-19 with SLD, PMLD and ASD. Many students at this school also have Autism Spectrum Disorder or Challenging Behaviour, so strong behaviour management skills are essential. Students at this level would be working below the national curriculum levels and would follow a sensory curriculum, so experience using MAKATON and PECS is desirable.
This SEN School based in Islington caters for students aged between 11 to 19 years with Severe Learning Disabilities, Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities and Sensory or Physical Disabilities. The School is highly committed to meeting the needs of all their students and to valuing the contribution each pupil makes towards school, home and community life.
