SEN Teaching Assistants | Flexible Supply & Long-Term Opportunities
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work or your next long-term opportunity?
Teach is currently recruiting caring, enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with a range of additional needs in primary, secondary and specialist education settings.
We have opportunities available on a day-to-day, short-term, long-term and permanent basis, supporting pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language needs and other learning difficulties.
Whether you're an experienced SEN TA or have relevant transferable experience, we'll work with you to find a role that matches your skills, experience and availability.

- Monday to Friday
- Typical school hours: 8:15am – 3:30pm (may vary by school)

- Your Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with additional needs
- Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and other SEND requirements
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour
- Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers
- Follow Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) where appropriate
- Maintain accurate records and follow all safeguarding procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND in a school or similar setting
- A patient, caring and positive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A flexible and professional attitude
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Desirable (but not essential)
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH or Speech & Language needs
- Experience within mainstream or specialist education settings
