Secondary Science Teacher Part-Time (3 days per week – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) Hours: 08:15 – 15:30 (including planning and marking time). Our Client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Science Teacher to join there dynamic teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Science lessons to students, with a focus on fostering a positive learning environment. The role involves planning engaging lessons, teaching across multiple science disciplines, and providing timely feedback on student progress. Key Responsibilities: * Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in accordance with the national curriculum for Secondary Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics). * Student Assessment: Regularly assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, and adjust teaching methods accordingly. * Marking and Feedback: Provide timely and constructive feedback on students' work, including written assignments, lab reports, and exam papers. * Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and promotes good behavior. * Collaboration: Work closely with the Science department to share resources, ideas, and best practices to ensure a high standard of teaching across the school. Key Skills and Qualifications: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. * A degree in a Science-related subject (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics). * Previous experience teaching Science at the Secondary level (preferred). * Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Science. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Commitment to ongoing professional development.
