Are you a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher looking for a short-term opportunity this October?
Teach Ltd is currently recruiting an enthusiastic, committed and inspiring PE Teacher to support a secondary school for a temporary placement from 5th October to 22nd October.
The role will consist of approximately 80% PE and 20% Dance, providing an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is confident delivering engaging lessons across both subjects.
The Role
As a PE & Dance Teacher, your responsibilities may include
- Planning and delivering engaging, challenging and age-appropriate PE and Dance lessons
- Teaching PE across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Delivering Dance lessons as part of the timetable
- Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs and abilities of individual students
- Assessing and monitoring student progress
- Providing constructive feedback to support student development
- Managing student behaviour effectively
- Building positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Maintaining high expectations of achievement, participation and behaviour
- Supporting students with additional needs and adapting learning where required
- Ensuring lessons are safe, structured and engaging
- Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
- Working collaboratively with other teaching and support staff
- Contributing positively to the wider life of the school
- What Weβre Looking For
We are keen to hear from candidates who have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification
- Strong PE subject knowledge and teaching experience
- Confidence delivering Dance or a willingness to teach Dance as part of the role
- Previous experience working within a secondary school environment
- A genuine passion for PE, Dance and supporting young people's development
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
- A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
- A reliable, professional and enthusiastic attitude
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and student welfare
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
