Teach Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and committed Design & Technology Teacher to work within a supportive secondary school in the Mildenhall area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced DT Teacher or Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is passionate about practical learning and developing students' creativity, technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
The Role
- Planning and delivering high-quality Design & Technology lessons
- Teaching across DT specialisms including Resistant Materials, Product Design, Engineering, Graphics or Food Technology depending on experience
- Creating a safe and engaging workshop environment
- Monitoring, assessing and reporting on pupil progress
- Differentiating lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Maintaining positive behaviour and high expectations
- Supporting departmental development and curriculum initiatives
- Promoting achievement, creativity and independent learning
The Ideal Candidate
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Design & Technology within UK secondary schools
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Possess excellent subject knowledge
- Be confident delivering practical workshop-based learning
- Have a commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes
- Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents
