Cover Supervisor – Harpenden Location: Harpenden Start Date: Immediate / Ongoing Salary: £90–£120 per day (depending on experience) Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Temporary to Permanent Keep Education are recruiting for a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to support Secondary Schools in Harpenden and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or experienced classroom supervisors to gain valuable experience and make a real difference in students’ learning. Main Responsibilities * Supervise classes in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment. * Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and support students in completing assigned work. * Maintain good classroom behaviour in line with school policies. * Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement and progress. * Follow all safeguarding and health & safety procedures. Education & Experience * Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths. * A-Levels or a Degree preferred. * Experience working with children or young people is desirable (e.g. as a Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, Sports Coach, or Mentor). * Classroom management experience would be beneficial. Skills & Attributes * Confident, calm, and adaptable in a classroom setting. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage behaviour effectively. * A genuine interest in education and supporting student achievement. * Reliable, punctual, and professional in approach.
