Are you a passionate and enthusiastic PE Teacher looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity this autumn? Teach is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school to recruit a dedicated PE Teacher to join their team from September until December. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys inspiring young people to develop their confidence, teamwork and passion for physical education.

Working Pattern: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Duration: September – December

Hours: 8:15am – 3:30pm (may vary depending on the school)

The Role

  • Delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons to secondary-aged students.
  • Planning, preparing and assessing lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Encouraging students to participate in a range of sporting activities while promoting healthy lifestyles.
  • Managing behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to the wider school community.
  • Following all school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A positive, proactive and flexible approach to teaching.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
