Learning Support Assistant – Primary School
Location: Camden
Contract: Long term

Pay: £105–£110 per day
About the role
A welcoming primary school in Camden is seeking a caring and reliable Learning Support Assistant to join its team on a long-term basis.
You’ll support pupils with their learning, engagement and development, working alongside teachers and other support staff to help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils with classroom learning and daily activities.
- Work with individuals or small groups as directed by the teacher.
- Help pupils stay engaged and develop confidence and independence.
- Adapt resources and provide encouragement to meet pupils’ needs.
- Support positive behaviour and classroom routines.
- Share relevant observations about pupils’ progress with teaching staff.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Follow school safeguarding, health and safety and confidentiality procedures.
About you
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, calm and supportive approach.
- The ability to encourage children’s learning and independence.
- A proactive and dependable attitude.
- A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
- Availability to start ASAP.
Experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs would be beneficial.
