Design Technology Teacher – Flexible Supply Opportunities
Are you a Design Technology Teacher looking for flexible work or a longer-term position from September?
We are supporting secondary schools across Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas with their recruitment for DT Teachers. Opportunities are available across day-to-day supply, short-term cover and longer-term placements.
We are keen to hear from teachers with experience across different areas of Design Technology, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering, Food Technology and Textiles.
The role
- Teaching DT across KS3 and KS4
- Delivering practical and theory-based lessons
- Teaching towards GCSE where required
- Supporting students with design and practical projects
- Maintaining safe working practices in practical environments
- Planning lessons for longer-term placements
- Assessing student work and monitoring progress
- Managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
We are looking for:
- QTS or relevant teaching experience
- Secondary DT teaching experience
- Strong subject knowledge and practical skills
- Confidence working in a practical classroom/workshop environment
- Good classroom management
- A commitment to student progress and achievement
- A reliable and professional approach
