Are you a Science Teacher looking for flexible teaching work from September? We are recruiting Science Teachers to work with secondary schools throughout Hastings and the surrounding areas. We have opportunities for teachers seeking occasional supply days as well as those looking for regular or longer-term placements.
Applications are welcome from teachers with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics, as well as those with experience teaching general Science.
What the role involves:
- Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
- Delivering practical and theory-based lessons
- Teaching GCSE Science where required
- Following existing schemes of work
- Planning lessons for longer-term placements
- Monitoring and assessing student progress
- Creating a positive and engaging classroom environment
- Managing behaviour effectively
We are looking for:
- QTS or relevant teaching experience
- Secondary Science teaching experience
- Strong subject knowledge
- Confidence teaching to GCSE
- Good classroom management
- The ability to engage and motivate students
