We're recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Crowborough.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to build confidence, develop positive relationships and achieve their full potential.

The Role

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage confidence and engagement.
  • Support students both in the classroom and during other school activities.
  • Help implement behaviour support strategies and individual learning plans.
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to promote positive outcomes for every pupil.

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
  • The ability to remain positive and adaptable in a rewarding school environment.
