Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional learning needs? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Poole on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs and learning difficulties , helping them to access the curriculum, develop their confidence and achieve their individual goals.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with varying learning difficulties and additional needs.
- Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and accessible learning activities.
- Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
- Adapt your approach to meet individual pupils' needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour, independence and confidence.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
- Assist with classroom activities and contribute to a positive learning environment.
- Follow individual education and support plans where required.
