The role As a Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering lessons using the work provided by the class teacher and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Supporting students with their learning
- Taking registers and following school procedures
- Providing feedback to school staff where appropriate
- Ensuring students remain engaged and focused throughout the lesson
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or relevant classroom/education experience
- Experience working with secondary-aged students
- Strong classroom management skills
- Confidence working across different subjectsA calm, professional and adaptable approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
Experienced Cover Supervisors and unqualified teachers are also encouraged to apply, depending on experience.
