We are working with secondary schools across Hastings and the surrounding areas who are looking for Maths Teachers to support their classrooms. Positions range from day-to-day supply and short-term cover through to longer-term placements. Whether you're looking for flexibility around other commitments or want a more consistent teaching role, there are opportunities available to suit your experience and availability.
The role:
- Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4
- Teaching towards GCSE where required
- Delivering engaging and well-planned lessons
- Following school schemes of work and existing lesson plans
- Planning and preparing lessons for longer-term placements
- Assessing student progress
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning
- Supporting students of different abilities
We are looking for:
- QTS or recognised teaching experience
- Secondary Maths teaching experience
- Strong subject knowledge
- Confidence teaching through to GCSE
- Effective classroom management
- A positive and professional approach
- The ability to build strong relationships with students
