Do you specialise in History, Geography, RE or another Humanities subject? We are working with secondary schools in Hastings and the surrounding areas who are looking for Humanities Teachers from September. There are opportunities for day-to-day cover, regular supply and longer-term placements, giving you the flexibility to choose the type of work that suits you.

The role may include:

  • Teaching History, Geography, RE or other Humanities subjects
  • Teaching across KS3 and KS4
  • Delivering engaging and informative lessons
  • Teaching towards GCSE where appropriate
  • Following existing schemes of work
  • Planning lessons for longer-term roles
  • Assessing student progress
  • Managing classroom behaviour
  • Supporting students of varying abilities

The ideal candidate will have:

  • QTS or relevant teaching experience
  • Secondary teaching experience in a Humanities subject
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Good classroom management
  • A passion for their subject
  • The ability to engage and motivate young people
  • A flexible and professional approach
