Are you a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for Early Years education? A welcoming and supportive primary school in Newhaven is seeking a full-time EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity to support young children at the start of their educational journey, helping to create a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.
The Role
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative learning activities.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to promote learning and development.
- Encourage children's social, emotional, and communication skills.
- Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with observations, assessments, and classroom preparation.
- Support children's personal care where required, in line with school policies.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has experience working with children in an EYFS setting.
- Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Has a nurturing, patient, and positive approach.
- Works well as part of a team and uses their own initiative.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one).
- Has the right to work in the UK.
