About The Role And School

We are seeking a SEN Teacher to join a well-established and highly regarded special school in Waltham Forest from September. This SEN Teacher role offers flexibility across a range of age groups and pathways, making it an excellent opportunity for teachers with experience in Autism, communication needs, complex learning difficulties or additional needs. The school caters for children and young people aged 3-19 with a broad range of special educational needs and disabilities. Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and highly differentiated learning as a SEN Teacher
  • Support pupils with Autism and a range of additional needs
  • Plan and adapt learning in line with EHCP outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff and families
  • Track and assess pupil progress effectively
  • Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications / Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN desirable
  • Strong understanding of Autism and inclusive practice advantageous
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
