About the Role and School
We are seeking a Preparation for Adulthood Teacher to join a forward‑thinking SEN school in Waltham Forest from September. This role involves supporting pupils who are developing greater independence, communication and self‑awareness while accessing elements of the National Curriculum and preparing for their future lives beyond school. The successful teacher will work with pupils who demonstrate reciprocal communication skills, increasing autonomy and the ability to apply learning across different contexts. The teacher will deliver a broad and engaging curriculum that develops academic skills alongside personal, social and life skills. This opportunity suits a practitioner who is passionate about helping young people become independent, confident and successful members of their community, inspiring pupils to develop resilience, build positive relationships and prepare for adulthood through meaningful and relevant learning experiences. The teacher will work closely with support staff, families and external professionals to ensure pupils achieve positive outcomes academically, socially and emotionally, playing a vital role in helping pupils develop the confidence and skills required for their next stage of education and life.

Qualifications / Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working within SEN desirable
- Strong understanding of personalised learning approaches
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
