About the role and school

We are seeking an experienced SENDCo to join a diverse and inclusive primary school in Newham from September. This SENDCo role offers the opportunity to lead and develop SEND provision across the school. The SENDCo will play a key role in ensuring all pupils receive the support they need to succeed. This SENDCo position is within a well‑established primary school serving a richly diverse community. The school has a strong commitment to inclusion, with a dedicated focus on supporting pupils with additional needs. Leadership is supportive and committed to developing high‑quality SEND provision across the school. The SENDCo will be joining a collaborative and child‑focused environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead on SEND strategy and provision across the school.
  • Coordinate EHCPs.
  • Liaise with external agencies.
  • Support staff with differentiation strategies.
  • Monitor pupil progress.
  • Ensure inclusive practice is embedded across all year groups.

Qualifications and Experience

  • NASENCo qualification (or working towards).
  • Experience as a SENDCo or SEN leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service.
  • Right to work in the UK.
