SEN Teaching Assistant | ASAP Location: Greenford, Ealing Full-time, 5 days per week Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience Are you a passionate, confident SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new role? If so, we want to hear from you! Teach Plus are currently working with a 2-form entry, ‘Good’ primary school located in Greenford, Ealing. The school is a large, inclusive, and welcoming. The school consider the workload and well-being of their staff. The pupils are happy and safe at the school. This full-time role requires supporting 2 children in Year 1 with complex needs. This role will start ASAP. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to: Provide 1:1 support to two children with complex needs, ensuring their physical, emotional, and academic development is being met Follow and implement each child’s EHCP Support children in managing challenging behaviours using positive behaviour management techniques. Encourage participation in classroom and school activities, fostering social interaction and inclusion. Maintain detailed records of the children’s progress, behaviour, and any concerns. Act as a trusted adult for the children, building positive relationships to support their emotional well-being. The ideal candidate for the SEN Teaching Assistant role will have: Recent experience supporting KS1 children with SEN needs, including complex needs in a school setting Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions, including behaviour management techniques. Patience, empathy, and resilience to handle challenging situations.
