Job Responsibilities As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will include: Providing one-to-one support for a non-verbal child with Autism. Implementing personalised learning strategies and supporting communication development. Assisting the class teacher with adapting lessons to meet individual needs. Encouraging social interaction, independence, and emotional wellbeing. Promoting a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals. Qualifications/Experience To be successful as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need: An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service. The right to work in the UK. Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting children with Autism is desirable. A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature with strong communication skills.
