About the role/school

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Primary SEN Teacher to join a highly supportive, forward-thinking specialist education setting in East London. The successful Primary SEN Teacher will be joining a passionate, skilled, and stable staff team who work collaboratively to ensure every pupil thrives academically, socially, and emotionally. The school places a strong emphasis on personalised learning, therapeutic support, and building positive, trusting relationships with pupils.

This is a full-time Primary SEN Teacher role with excellent daily rates and genuine long-term potential. There are also clear leadership opportunities available for an ambitious Primary SEN Teacher who is ready to progress into middle leadership, subject leadership, or pastoral responsibility over time.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver highly engaging, differentiated lessons to meet a wide range of needs
  • Use a creative, flexible approach to support pupils with autism, communication needs, and complex learning profiles
  • Work closely with experienced teaching assistants, therapists, and the wider multi-disciplinary team
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Support the academic, emotional, and social development of every pupil
  • Track progress and adapt provision to ensure all pupils make meaningful outcomes
  • Take part in staff training, development opportunities, and whole-school initiatives

This role would particularly suit a dedicated and resilient Primary SEN Teacher who thrives in a specialist environment.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience working as a Primary SEN Teacher in a specialist or mainstream setting
  • Strong understanding of supporting pupils with multiple and complex needs
  • Confident behaviour management and trauma-informed practice
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
