About the role and school
We are seeking an experienced SENDCo to join a diverse and inclusive primary school in Newham from September. This SENDCo role offers the opportunity to lead and develop SEND provision across the school. The SENDCo will play a key role in ensuring all pupils receive the support they need to succeed. This SENDCo position is within a well‑established primary school serving a richly diverse community. The school has a strong commitment to inclusion, with a dedicated focus on supporting pupils with additional needs. Leadership is supportive and committed to developing high‑quality SEND provision across the school. The SENDCo will be joining a collaborative and child‑focused environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead on SEND strategy and provision across the school.
- Coordinate EHCPs.
- Liaise with external agencies.
- Support staff with differentiation strategies.
- Monitor pupil progress.
- Ensure inclusive practice is embedded across all year groups.
Qualifications and Experience
- NASENCo qualification (or working towards).
- Experience as a SENDCo or SEN leadership role.
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service.
- Right to work in the UK.
