About the role/school
Teach Plus are currently working with a friendly and supportive 3-form entry primary school in Waltham Forest who are looking for a dedicated SATs Booster Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is confident delivering targeted interventions and booster sessions, supporting pupils to make strong progress in the lead-up to SATs. The school is well-resourced, has a strong team culture, and offers a welcoming environment where staff are supported by an approachable leadership team. Job Responsibilities
- Deliver small group booster sessions focused on SATs preparation (primarily Maths and English)
- Support pupils with targeted interventions in reading, writing, SPaG, and arithmetic
- Work closely with the class teacher to identify gaps in learning and track progress
- Provide 1:1 support where required, adapting work to meet individual needs
- Help build pupil confidence and improve exam technique through structured practice
- Support classroom learning when not delivering interventions
- Encourage positive behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment
Qualifications/Experience
- Previous experience supporting KS2 pupils (ideally Year 6)
- Confident delivering interventions and SATs-focused booster sessions
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, particularly English and Maths
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND and/or EAL is desirable
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
