Job Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate EYFS learning activities
  • Deliver targeted phonics interventions and support early reading development
  • Assist with planning and preparing stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues to support children's progress and wellbeing
  • Monitor and record children's learning and development, providing feedback to the class teacher
  • Encourage independence, curiosity and positive behaviour through effective classroom support

Qualifications / Experience

  • Experience as an EYFS Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
  • Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role
  • Experience teaching Phonics
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
