About the role/school
We are recruiting an experienced and motivated Intervention Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Waltham Forest. This is a full-time role working with KS2 pupils, supporting them in preparation for SATs through targeted intervention and booster sessions in Maths and English.
This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant with strong curriculum knowledge who enjoys working with small groups and making a measurable impact on pupil progress.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver structured intervention and booster sessions in Maths and English.
- Support KS2 pupils in preparation for SATs.
- Work with small groups and on a 1:1 basis to close learning gaps.
- Monitor pupil progress and feedback to class teachers.
- Assist with lesson preparation and intervention planning.
- Help maintain a focused, positive learning environment.
Qualifications/Experience
- Experience working in a primary school setting - essential.
- Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, particularly Maths and English.
- Experience delivering interventions or booster sessions.
- Confident communication and classroom management skills.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Right to work in the UK.
