About the role and school
Teach Plus are working with a welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets that is looking to appoint a committed Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher from January 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, support pupils' academic progress and create a positive classroom environment. The successful candidate will be confident delivering the Key Stage 2 curriculum, assessing pupil attainment and adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs.
The school is looking for someone who can build strong relationships with pupils, encourage a love of learning and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure children receive the support and challenge they need to succeed.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Adapt teaching to meet pupils' individual needs and abilities
- Assess, monitor and record pupil progress
- Identify gaps in learning and implement appropriate interventions
- Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour and achievement
- Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants and colleagues
- Communicate with parents and carers where appropriate
- Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
Qualifications/Experience
- QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is essential
- Experience teaching within a primary school setting
- Good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Strong lesson planning, assessment and behaviour management skills
- Ability to differentiate lessons and support different abilities
- A positive, organised and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
