About the role/school

We are seeking a dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Newham from April. The Year 4 Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across the National Curriculum with a particular focus on developing core literacy and numeracy skills. Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to KS2 curriculum expectations
  • Deliver high quality English, Maths, and foundation subject teaching
  • Support pupil progress through effective assessment strategies
  • Manage classroom behaviour positively and professionally
  • Support SEND and EAL pupils within the classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and senior staff
  • Prepare pupils for transition into upper KS2
  • Contribute to the wider school community

The Year 4 Teacher will play a key role in ensuring pupils make strong academic progress during their time in Year 4.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within KS2 is desirable
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills

Essential

  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
