About the role and school
We are seeking an SEMH Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Redbridge from September. This SEMH Teacher role involves working with pupils who present with social, emotional and mental health needs within a supportive mainstream setting, ensuring they are fully included in learning and able to achieve their potential.
The successful SEMH Teacher will work closely with the SENCO, pastoral team and class teachers to deliver targeted support, adapted learning and consistent behaviour strategies. As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a key role in creating a safe, structured and nurturing environment where pupils can regulate emotions, build resilience and engage positively in learning.
This SEMH Teacher opportunity is ideal for a practitioner who has experience supporting SEMH needs within either mainstream or specialist settings and is confident in building strong relationships with pupils who may present with challenging behaviour or additional emotional needs.
As an SEMH Teacher, you will help shape an inclusive learning environment where every pupil is supported to access the curriculum, develop confidence and achieve their goals.
