Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the Year 6 classroom effectively, maintaining high expectations for behaviour, learning and pupil achievement
  • Assess pupil progress regularly and use assessment information to inform future planning and teaching
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that supports the needs of all pupils
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to promote pupil progress and wellbeing
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and support pupils in developing confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours

Qualifications/Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualification
  • Experience as a Primary Teacher (KS2) or in a similar role
  • Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
