Teach Plus are currently seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and energetic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Slough, starting ASAP.This full‑time Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting pupils in a Reception class, assisting the class teacher with engaging lessons and delivering targeted interventions, including Phonics, to small groups of children.The successful Teaching Assistant will play a key role in supporting early years development, building confidence and helping pupils develop essential literacy, communication and social skills.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or a graduate looking to gain valuable classroom experience, with Graduate Teaching Assistants encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities within a Reception class.
  • Deliver small‑group interventions, including Phonics, to support early literacy and language development.
  • Provide one‑to‑one support for pupils who require additional assistance with learning, communication or social development.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, pupil engagement and independence throughout the school day.
  • Assist with preparing classroom resources and creating a safe, stimulating learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and communicate effectively with the class teacher regarding individual needs and achievements.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Minimum of 3 months UK experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
  • Strong passion for working with children
  • Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
