We are looking for an enthusiastic and resilient PRU Teacher to join a specialist provision in Waltham Forest on an ASAP basis.This PRU Teacher role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to pupils who may have struggled within a traditional school environment and require a more personalised approach to education.
The school places a strong emphasis on relationships, engagement and helping pupils re-establish positive attitudes towards learning.As a PRU Teacher, you will deliver engaging and accessible lessons while providing the consistency, structure and encouragement pupils need to succeed.
This PRU Teacher opportunity would suit a confident teacher with strong behaviour management skills and a genuine passion for working with young people with additional needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons as a PRU Teacher
- Plan and adapt learning to meet individual pupil needs
- Establish clear routines and positive behaviour expectations
- Build strong and trusting relationships with pupils
- Monitor progress and contribute to individual support plans
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and wider professionals
Qualifications/Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
- Previous experience working with SEND, SEMH or challenging behaviour is desirable
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Resilient, patient and consistent approach
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
