About the role and school
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join a welcoming primary school in Waltham Forest from September. This Nursery Nurse role will be based within the school's Early Years provision, supporting young children as they develop their communication, independence and early learning skills. The school provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to learn through purposeful play, structured activities and positive relationships.
As a Nursery Nurse, you will work alongside the wider Early Years team to help create an engaging environment where every child can thrive. This Nursery Nurse opportunity is ideal for an experienced early years practitioner who is passionate about working with young children and supporting their development during the important early stages of education.
Job Responsibilities
- Support children's learning through play and structured activities as a Nursery Nurse
- Assist with delivering engaging Early Years activities
- Support children's communication, language and personal development
- Observe children and contribute to assessments and progress tracking
- Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, practitioners and families
Qualifications/Experience
- Relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or an alternative equivalent qualification is essential
- Previous experience working in an Early Years or nursery setting
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
