About the role/school
We are working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets to recruit a committed and experienced SEN Primary Teacher. This role is based within a supportive SEN setting, where you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality teaching tailored to pupils with a range of additional needs. The successful SEN Primary Teacher will be passionate about inclusive education and confident in adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs. You will work alongside a strong SEN team and leadership team who are highly supportive and invested in staff development.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the needs of pupils with SEND.
- Create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Use a range of strategies to support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
- Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, and external professionals.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
Qualifications/Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) — essential.
- Experience teaching pupils with SEND in a primary or SEN setting.
- Strong behaviour management and differentiation skills.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach to teaching.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service.
- Right to work in the UK.
