We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive community primary in Balham. This SEN Teaching Assistant role is full-time and starts ASAP, providing an excellent opportunity to support children with additional needs in a nurturing environment. Job Responsibilities
- Support pupils with special educational needs as a SEN Teaching Assistant
- Assist with classroom activities and one-to-one or small group interventions
- Promote inclusion, wellbeing, and positive behaviour in the school environment
- Help implement educational programmes under the guidance of teachers
- Contribute to pupils' personal, social, and academic development as a committed SEN Teaching Assistant
Qualifications/Experience
- Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or similar support role in a primary setting
- Knowledge of strategies to support children with additional needs
- Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
