Job Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEND through tailored one-to-one assistance and small-group interventions.
  • Assist the class teacher with delivering engaging lessons and adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour, encourage participation and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Help pupils develop their communication, social, emotional and academic skills.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff to implement individual learning strategies.
  • Adapt to different classroom settings and provide flexible support in response to the school's daily requirements.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Experience working with children with SEND
  • Minimum of 3 months UK experience working in a school setting
  • Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
