About the Role

You will work closely with the room leader and wider early years team to support children aged 0–5. The role focuses on delivering engaging, play‑based learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the learning and development of children aged 0–5
  • Deliver engaging, play‑based activities aligned with the EYFS framework
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Support children's social, emotional, and educational development
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress where required
  • Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, hygiene, and outdoor play

Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • A positive, proactive, and nurturing approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Genuine passion for early childhood education

Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates are reserved for candidates with substantial experience and/or relevant training. Pay is determined in line with school expectations and Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.
