Contract Type: Full-time Temporary Work Long-term Opportunity

Start Date: 01/09/2026

Location: Bromley, London

Salary: £92.56 - £105 per day. Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates are available for candidates with substantial SEN experience and/or relevant training. Pay is determined in line with Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.

Hours of Work: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Teach Now is working with a caring and inclusive primary school in Bromley to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH and ADHD across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This rewarding long-term opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong relationships and helping children overcome barriers to learning. You'll work alongside experienced teachers and the SENCO to create a structured, nurturing environment where pupils can develop emotionally, socially and academically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH and ADHD.
  • Encourage emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
  • Support pupils to engage fully in classroom learning.
  • Implement behaviour support plans and EHCP targets.
  • Build trusting relationships with pupils and families.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children with SEMH, ADHD or additional needs.
  • A calm, empathetic and resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
