About the Role
Teach Now is recruiting a proactive and nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and successful primary school in Enfield, supporting within a Reception class. This is a full-time role starting in June, with the opportunity to continue into the next academic year. You will be working within a supportive Early Years team, helping to create a safe, engaging and stimulating environment for young learners at a crucial stage of their development. The role requires someone confident working with young children, including supporting SEN needs and assisting with personal care (including nappy changing if required).
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning within a Reception class
- Assist with the delivery of engaging, play-based learning activities
- Provide support for children with additional needs (SEN)
- Support personal care needs, including nappy changing where necessary
- Encourage early development in communication, social skills and independence
- Work closely with class teachers and the wider Early Years team
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience working with Early Years children (Reception or Nursery)
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years (highly desirable for ratio purposes)
- Confident, proactive, and able to take initiative
- Comfortable supporting SEN and personal care needs
- Patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong understanding of early child development
- A team player who contributes positively to the school environment
