Position: Meal Time Supervisor
Location: Tottenham, London
Type: 5 days a week

About Us:
We are recruiting for a meal time supervisor who is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children to learn, grow, and thrive. We understand the importance of balanced nutrition and the positive impact it has on a child\’s development. As a Meal Time Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our students have a pleasant and enjoyable mealtime experience while maintaining a supportive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
– Supervise and assist students during meal times, fostering a positive and respectful dining environment.
– Ensure students are seated properly, following hygiene and safety protocols.
– Help young children with eating, including opening containers, cutting food, and promoting good table manners.
– Monitor students for food allergies or dietary restrictions, and ensure they receive appropriate meals.
– Encourage social interactions and conversations among students, promoting good communication skills.
– Address behavioural issues or conflicts that may arise during meal times in a calm and effective manner.
– Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to communicate any concerns or observations regarding students\’ eating habits or behavior.
– Maintain a clean and organized eating area, including cleaning up spills and sanitizing tables and chairs after meals.
– Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making meal times an enjoyable part of the students\’ daily routine.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
Understanding of basic nutrition, food allergies, and dietary restrictions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially when dealing with young children.
Patience and the ability to remain calm in potentially challenging situations.
Strong observational skills to monitor students\’ behavior and well-being.
Basic first aid and CPR certification is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
