As a Maths Tutor, you’ll work closely with classroom teachers and the school\’s intervention team to provide targeted 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils boost their confidence, close learning gaps, and prepare for upcoming exams. Whether you’re a qualified teacher, an experienced tutor, or a recent graduate with strong subject knowledge, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible difference to students’ learning outcomes. Key responsibilities • Deliver personalised tutoring sessions to KS3, KS4, and A-Level students • Adapt strategies to meet the individual needs and learning styles of pupils • Support the school’s maths department in raising attainment and engagement • Help pupils build confidence, numeracy skills, and exam techniques The ideal candidate will have • A strong academic background in Maths or a related subject • Experience working with secondary-age students (school-based or tutoring) • Excellent communication and organisational skills • A calm, patient, and encouraging approach This role offers part-time flexibility, making it ideal for those looking to work around other commitments, gain school-based experience, or ease back into the profession.
