Are you an experienced Early Years professional looking for a rewarding role in a forward-thinking and nurturing environment? We are excited to be recruiting a Nursery Teaching Assistant for a new and growing primary school in Islington. This is a full-time, temporary position starting 2 February 2026, working 8:30am–3:30pm, term time only. The Nursery currently has 24 children, with 17 pupils presenting additional needs, including early signs of ASD and ADHD. As such, the school is seeking a Level 3 qualified Early Years practitioner to support ratios and provide high-quality, consistent support.

The Role:

  • Support children within the Nursery following the EYFS curriculum
  • Work closely alongside the class teacher and another teaching assistant
  • Provide targeted support for children with additional and emerging needs
  • Help create a calm, structured and engaging learning environment
  • Promote positive behaviour, communication and early development

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Is confident supporting children with SEN, including ASD and ADHD
  • Has a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Is patient, proactive and passionate about inclusive education
